Our love of tradition and research into it has not prevented us from incorporating all the latest technological innovations in our products. On the contrary, it has given us just the right drive to design and develop new ideas, essential to present day living. “La Castellamonte” stoves are made with an eye both to traditional Castellamonte craftsmanship and to specific state-of-the-art technology and safety regulations. Large cast iron or steel hearths internally lined with refractory material, also of our production, allowing substantial loads of firewood, resulting in an autonomy of approx. 6/12 hours with tube heat exchangers, depending on the model, optional forced air fans (worked by remote control) and easy-view doors in cast brass and fire-proof glass. An excellent combustion system with primary and secondary air (dual combustion shell) resulting in 75/80% thermal efficiency, and extremely low carbon monoxide emission into the atmosphere (0.1%), as shown by the results of tests carried out in our laboratory, is in keeping with the strictest European and International Regulations for safeguarding the environment. Our construction methods are typical of craftsmen over the years, as much of the work is done by hand. The outward appearance of each stove has been designed with particular care and traditional Castellamonte decorations have been used. A choice of two or more casings is available for some of our stoves. We offer 32 basic colours, but there is a vast range of further colours and decorations with which to personalise your stove.

The stove casing is entirely in glazed fire-clay, and is extremely resistant to thermal expansion, thanks to our special washed clay mixtures.
